Shop settings
Your shop’s business details — the name customers see, your address, your currency and your time zone.
Set these up before you add products. Currency in particular is awkward to change once everything is priced.
Find them under CMS › Project Settings › Shop › General.
Store profile
| Setting | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Store Name | Customer emails and your invoices |
| Store web address | Displayed here for reference only — see the note below |
| Company name | Invoices and email notifications. Makes a shop look more trustworthy |
| Company email address | The “Questions on your order?” block customers see after ordering |
| Phone number | The same “Questions on your order?” block |
| Company address | Invoices and emails. Also used as your shipping origin |
| Social media accounts | The bottom of your shop’s email notifications |
Ignore the option to edit the store web address on this screen. The real address is set under the Publish option in your project thumbnail.
Your company address doubles as the place your parcels are sent from, which is what shipping rates are calculated against. If you ship from somewhere else, set a separate origin address under Shipping & Pickup.
Close storefront for maintenance hides your whole shop behind a “closed for maintenance” message. Leave it set to Storefront is Open for normal trading.
Regional settings
Under CMS › Project Settings › Shop › General › Regional Settings.
Currency
All official currencies are supported, so you can price in whatever you actually trade in.
- Currency — pick yours from the dropdown
- Price display format — how prices are written. For non-dollar currencies you can also set a conversion rate, used when a payment or shipping provider only works in dollars
- Currency symbol — put it in Prefix to show before the price, Suffix to show after
- Hide trailing zeros — turn off the
.00. Check the example shown before saving
Weight and size
These feed the shipping calculations, so get them right if you post anything.
- Weight unit — kilograms, pounds, ounces, grams or carats
- Dimensions unit — millimetres, centimetres, inches or yards
- Display format and hide trailing zeros — as with currency
Language
Picked automatically when the shop is created. It sets the wording of invoices, customer emails and the labels in your shop. Change it here if the guess was wrong.
Date and time
Time zone, time format and date format. Used in email notifications and in exported data.
Before you launch
Go back through this screen once more before your first real sale. These settings appear on invoices and on every email a customer receives, so a wrong address or currency is visible to everyone who buys from you.
